BW and HANA Live Content

Hi all,

 

We are currently debating on following Queries and looking for answers.

 

  1. Is it possible to create same BW Hierarchy in HANA using HANA studio and consume in HANA live Content? (as an Example Profit and loss hierarchy)


  2. What is the best approach for the reporting? Should we go with BW Queries for the reporting or is it merely HANA Live Reporting? (We are planning to implement HANA without using SAP BW for reporting and is this the recommended approach?)

 

   3.  If new customers are planning to implement S4HANA, what should we suggest for them for reporting? Should suggest them to install SAP BW or HANA Live Or Both?

Hello Folks,

 

Where can I get the latest list of all the HANA live reports available in system.

 

some of the list in  help.sap.com\hba  dates back to 2014.

 

There should a consolidates list somewhere.

SAP HANA Language file

Hi Experts,

 

I have deployed SAP HANA Live for ECC in my system, but I am not able to import the language file LANG_HCOHBAECC.tgz.

When I try to import, as the same way I have done with the HCOHBAECC.tgz file, I receive the message "Repository: import failed;Import::import(): wrong archive type ET_LANGUAGE_TRANSPORT, you have to use importLanguage() to import this".

How can I import this file to translate the content of HANA Live?

Hi,

 

I have downloaded the HANA live below version  and It has been imported into Hana Studio there I got the 1018 calculation views.and used some views(Standard no customized) as per my client requirement.

SAP HANA LIVE RDS V5.10

 

Suppose, New version might be implemented in coming months and the package contains  around 1100 or more Cal views then i will be use this package that time.  What it is impact on used views due to this package imported??

Will HANA Live no longer receive updates?

Hi All,

 

I have heard that HANA Live will no longer be receiving updates from SAP.

 

So my question is whether this is true and, if so, when is SAP looking to stop supporting HANA Live.

Consuming HANA Live views on BW/HANA

Hi

I like to know the feasibility of a scenario . My ERP and BW are on top of two different HANA servers.  HANA live views are on ERP on  HANA system.

And I would like to consume the HANA Live views on BW without having to replicate data to BW/HANA  system.

What are the possible  ways to achieve this ?

Unable to see created evaluations in visualization :KPI Modeler

Hi Experts,

 



We are facing an issue  with KPI Modeler, we have been using SAP standard HANA views in KPI modeler which in turn will be used in SAP Fiori.
We have selected a view (for eg: MaterialValStockValueTurnoverQuery), created evaluation by prefered filters on the KPI's and saved it. Evaluation is saved. Later we go to visualizations for graphical representation of the evaluation of the KPI and find no evaluations listed out in the drop down.

 



Could it be the authorization issue? Could anyone share some points on this?

Issue during the Deployment of SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0

Dear All,

 

We are deploying SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0 on the SAP EHP7 for ERP 6.0 HANA system. Below are the steps followed to deploy the content

 

  1. Deploy  SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP 1.0 as per SAP note 1967187(51048027.ZIP)
  2. Change of tables created in HANA DB from row store to column store as per SAP note 1800515
  3. Deploy SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0(51048024.ZIP)

 

Steps A and B completed successfully, then start with step "C". But the deployment of SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0 failed with activation errors.

 

Logged into the HANA studio to check on the views. there are lot of view with "red" status. Tried to activate the views but didn't help.

 

Request your support on resolving the issue and successfully deploy SAP HANA ANALY. FOR SFIN 1.0

HANA Live - Tier 2 Apps

hello Gurus,

 

I see something as Tier 2 Apps as a part of Hana Live HBA, they looks like Calculation views but are under "APP" folder in HANA studio.

1) If they are calculation view why they are separate.

2) can I use them directly in HANA live browser for reporting.

 

the reason is there are Goods Invoice calculation view which I want to report directly on.

Is there a Rapid Deployment Solution for SRM data on HANA or BO Data Services?

We desire to bring a BI reporting solution via SRM data.  Is there a rapid deployment solution available on the HANA tool?  This would include some main tables on the SRM platform and also bring together workflow approval information.  Has anyone tried to do this and are there learnings we can share with each other during this process of investigation.

We have deployed Hana Live in our environment.

(SAP HANA ANALYTICS FOR ERP 1.0 )

HANA:
Version: 1.00.85.0

Internal Version: 1.85.0 (1850)

 

When I try to connect via the browser with:

http://< Hana server>:8000/sap/hba/explorer/index.html

or

http://< Hana server>:8000/sap/hba/explorer

 

I receive this(blank):

I have made sure that I have the roles: sap.hba.explorer.roles::Developer & sap.hba.explorer.roles::Business

Under Configuration, the application_list contains

InformationAccess, libtrustmanager, libxsauthenticator, libxssaml, libxsbase

 

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Dear gurus,

 

We have installed SAP HANA Live in our HANA Appliance (Suite on HANA).

We can see hba.ecc content (1018 Calculation Views), hba.explorer content and hba tools content.

 

When we try connect to HANA Live Explorer with Internet Explorer (http://<hanaserver>:<XS Port>/sap/hba/explorer/index.html), always it shown error page (404 - Not found)

 

We need deploy additional content?

 

Could you help me, please?
